Road Trip
The eve before my epic plan of a road tip I stopped to consider a few things.
One was that this trip was very under planned! It is to consist of 11 key stops spread over 5 short days. We hadn’t arranged any official accommodation save for the friend-of-a-friend contact that Amy gave to me less than an hour ago. So four-out-of-five nights we are either going to scrounge, sleep in a tent, car, or hopefully meet a random friendly person willing to put two Americans up.
Two, we don’t have a map yet. This could be a major set back seeing how EVERY road in England curves, loops, and snakes it’s way in random unintelligible patterns of abstract M.C. Escher art.
Three, our hired car is a manual and Marcus doesn’t know how to drive manual yet. Yet being the key word here. I think a road trip in England is the perfect reason to learn.
Four, what little planning I have done has been thrown out the window with Marcus’ insistence that we HAVE to go to Scotland….Which I didn’t plan on going to.
But I do kind of like the idea of setting us for failure. It’ll be that much more of an adventure. It’s why I wanted the smallest car we could possibly find and why I reserved a manual rather than automatic.
I haven’t been completely unprepared however, the most important piece of the road trip has been carefully arranged. The soundtrack that is. You can feel like part of our adventure by listening to some selected tunes from the 162-song collection. Enjoy.

Have now got standard CD of St.Jude by the courteeners and guess what – Acrylic is on there as a hidden track! My CD player and my PC both detect 21 tracks, the first 12 are the listings you can see on all the usual websites, there are then 8 shorts tracks of silence, and track 21 is Acrylic – has anyone else spotted this????
